About the team:We are looking for a new colleague in the Project Management Department at our
location in Lafayette, Indiana. What you can look forward to:The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project/s by actively leading the project core team within a matrix organization, in their efforts to achieve project objectives in terms of financial, quality, schedule targetsResponsible for the Project WBS, Detailed Project Schedule, Customer Interface, Project Risk, Opportunity and Improvement Management, Project Launch, Contractual Obligation Management, Budget al
location and monitoring, Project ReportingLead multi-functional business project teams using a company-specific product launch process (GDPEP). Matrix functions include Sales, Product Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Materials, and FinanceProvide effective communication on all aspects of the project to internal stakeholders up to and including ZF senior management, by regular project reporting, ensuring
requirements and deliverables definition within the constraints of automotive complianceMain interface to internal and external stakeholders for all aspects of the current state, progress and alignment of the product and / or projectEnsure project profitability, manage the Business Case as well as the project budget in coordination with the project controllingConduct project meetings and management gate reviewsMaintain comprehensive project reports including schedule and metrics status, open issues and actions, and change management (EC)
summaryAnalyze potential risks and their implication on the project / platform / organization and thereafter define risk reduction and mitigation plansEstablish, update, and implement processes to ensure timely completion of all programs/projects (internal or external, eg VA/VE, ECNs and customer driven changes). REQUIRED SKILL &
EXPERIENCE SETBachelor's Degree in Engineering Automotive business-related
experience, with progressive responsibility in an engineering or operations environment with a minimum of 5 years of Project Management
experienceProject Management and Technical understanding with clear business acumen and interest in product strategyMarket knowledge on customer and competitors’ trends and actionsDemonstrated organizational
skills as well as strong written and verbal communication
skills are a mustAbility to influence in a matrix management environmentExcellent communication
skills (presentation and negotiation) and team working
skills with a strong goal oriented approach and drive for results PREFERRED
