Western Governors University (WGU) is looking for individuals to participate as Subject Matter Experts for our B.S. Communication quality assurance projects.
Subject Matter Experts Provide Valuable Real-world Knowledge And
experience to develop the courses we offer our students.
This is a part-time/project-based position, where you would work with WGU as an Independent Contractor.
Subject Matter Experts Must Live In The United States
Project information:Scope of work:In the Course Congruence Check, stakeholders look at course curriculum and assessments and provide feedback on alignment. They perform a side-by-side comparison, answering one simple question: "Does the course provide adequate information for students to be successful on each task prompt?" Reviewers answer "yes" or "no" for each prompt on the assessment. They also provide feedback on whether they feel that each rubric aspect appropriately measures candidate competence of the corresponding task prompt. Once the review is complete, the QA Analyst will compile the data, deliver the results to the college, and request a meeting to discuss results and create an action plan for any modifications that are needed. A quality assurance check comparing all formative, summative, and culminating assessments with the curriculum to ensure alignment or congruency between the assessment and the content. Review will use some or all of the following: Word Documents, Google Documents, Excel spreadsheets. Review may involve a full review of course content.
Time commitment:3 Hours
Compensation:$50 per hour
Meetings/ Workshops:No meetings required. The project is completed around your schedule.
