Responsibilitiesinstruct Integrated
skills ESL class in a project-based curriculum. Design engaging student-centered activities to reinforce learning targets.Develop capstone projects to assess course outcomes. Carry out instructional assignments involving distance
education, if necessary. Assignment may be performed at other college
locations.Be available for possible evening, weekend and off-campus assignments. Conduct other
duties as assigned. This is a casual appointment to fill a short-term professional appointment. Casual appointments are temporary employment only. Casual hires carry no guarantee for continued employment.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics OR a Bachelor's degree with training in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) AND at least two (2) years
experience in TEFL/TESOL in an academic setting
Desirable
Qualifications
Experience facilitating instruction in a student-centered classroom; practice in content-based curriculum and project-based learning in a second language context.
