BAE Industries is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for its growing Production Metal Stamping and Mechanical Assembly divisions which will focus on developing new opportunities in automotive and non-automotive marketplaces. The successful candidate will have several years of experience identifying and closing business in the metal stamping domain as well as in the mechanical assembly sector. Our manufacturing offerings begin with the prototype stage and progressing to full manufacturing, production, assembly, and delivery of both engineered products and production stampings. With over five decades of operation, BAE Industries serves the automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers globally as well as non-automotive customers.
TasksAggressively pursue and close business for Metal Stamping and Mechanical Assembly divisionsCreate new and preserve existing strong customer relationshipsResearch and pro-actively approach new customersUnderstand and address customer challengesEstablish customer mentors to penetrate through accounts identifying key contacts, stake holders and decision makersMaintain existing business while pursuing new work by remaining active in customer projects throughout the engagement processProduce technical and commercial proposals and RFQ’s with assistance from engineering teamsAssist marketing team with input for sales literature and media engagementNetwork with industry leaders to understand trends and identify new business opportunitiesReview the customer database and reach out to / update customers on a continuous basis Achieve revenue goalsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience5+ years experience in the metal stamping industry with 3+ year experience in a customer interface roleExperience selling highly complex mechanical assemblies is preferredExposure to CRM, GTM, CAE, CAD, and GD&TMicrosoft Office competencyBasic knowledge of press room machinery and equipment Experience working with automotive OEM’s & Tier 1 suppliersExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience managing and writing proposals
