Tax Accountant

One of Vaco's top clients in Radnor is looking for a Tax Accountant for preparation of corporate Federal income tax returns and various state tax returns and to support the tax provision process. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in federal and state income tax compliance, a strong understanding of corporate income tax,

experience with interpreting and analyzing tax laws, and knowledge of book and tax accounting rules.

The person in this role will help monitor the deferred tax asset accuracy in the ledger, update tax attribute schedules, perform multi-state calculations and updates to workpaper packages for book versus tax differences. Extensive time will be spent on preparation and filing of the Federal and State income tax returns, estimates, and extensions. We also need someone that can calculate required amounts for all periodic tax deposits, assure payment amounts are sufficient to avoid penalties, and comply with all filing deadlines. You will calculate basis adjustments and other inputs to support the calculation of plant book/tax differences. This role will help maintain the company-wide tax reporting calendar to ensure tax deadlines are met, will reconcile payments on file with state to income tax payments made, and work with state agencies to correct any discrepancies.
