Assistant Underwriter

Client: Well-Known Insurance Organization

Role: Assistant Underwriter (Temporary to Permanent)

Pay Rate: $28/hr-$30/hr

Location: Downtown, Manhattan - *Onsite 5 days a week*

Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm

Job Description

• Knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of Underwriting support functions such as correspondence research and underwriting rule application.
• Provide accurate information to the underwriters.
• Moderate to high supervision
• Key and process applications and endorsements initiated by the underwriter or an authorized party.
• Perform other

duties and/or projects as assigned by the manager.

• Assure that all matters contain required documentation and notes (internal and policy level).
• Have a full understanding of the Plan of Operations, policy forms and coverages, and the use of proper guidelines for policy writing.
