Role Overview & Specifications

We are looking to appoint a permanent Administration Assistant within the Royal National Throat Nose & Ear and Eastman Dental Hospitals division at UCLH.



The Administration Assistant is a key point of contact for clinicians, admissions and outpatient staff as well as supporting the teams with patient queries.



You must be capable and competent in the use of patient administration systems and be able to work with a range of professionals including consultants, GPs, Senior Managers and administrative colleagues both internal and external.

The Administration Assistant will work as part of an administrative team, to support the multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams to provide a high quality administration service, a positive patient experience and the highest levels of customer service.


  • Assisting and supporting (including cross covering) other members of the administrative team


across the department or division, including dealing with telephone calls and resolving simple

enquiries for patients, their carer’s and visitors.


  • Carry out designated administrative tasks under direction and with guidance, and following agreed


standard operating procedures.


  • Efficient preparation of patient correspondence and other non-clinical documentation.
