Key

Responsibilities

The Principal Engineer is responsible for the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, optimization, and support of various platforms (hardware, operating systems, software, and systems tools). Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming. Implement releases, upgrades, and/or changes in the environment.

The Principal Engineer works closely with the IT Network Infrastructure Sr. Manager, contributes to the overall strategic vision, integrates various ideas regarding network engineering across Wide Area Network and Local Area Network infrastructure, and is sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex network engineering/operation problems and/or issues.

Develop and maintain the overall WAN and LAN architecture, including network topology, routing protocols, and traffic engineering to meet performance, scalability, and availability

requirements. Lead the implementation of WAN/LAN technologies and solutions, including routers, switches, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and other networking devices and solutions. Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve complex network issues, provide escalation support for network-related incidents and outages, document root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future incidents. Participates in 24 X 7 support of the Network Operations team. Monitor and analyze WAN performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Optimize network configurations, protocols, and bandwidth utilization to improve efficiency In coordination with Network Engineering teams, lead efforts to make recommendations on technology acceptance, standards, and product selection. Provides technical mentorship to peers and team.

Qualifications):

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related study9+ years of related

experience (CCIE level of

experience and

experience)CCNP Certification in Routing and Switching (Cisco Certified Network Professional).Ability to communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

Skills for problem-solving, looking beyond the obvious and not stopping at the first answerIn-depth CCIE knowledge level of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies, SDWAN, ACI, and WAN optimization techniques.Hands-on

experience with Cisco and other leading networking vendors.Technical capability and ability to learn new technologies and solutions.Must be legally authorized to work in the United states for any employer without sponsorship.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred

Qualifications):

CCIE certification in Routing and Switching (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Familiarity with or willingness to learn F5 technologies and WLAN technologies.
