You would be responsible to responsible to obtain blood specimens, process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Other
duties include, but are not limited to, receiving patient specimens from the patient care units in Sunquest. Ordering laboratory tests. Scheduling and performing home draws via venipuncture. Ensures accurate and complete patient registration.

Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methodsLabels all specimens following laboratory policyReceives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens
Work Hours/shift
20 hours, Evening Shift (rotating weekends/holidays)
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program
Certification: Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy
experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting.
