Duties

  • Assist the Nursery Cook to provide enjoyable meals for children.
  • Work with the Nursery Cook to ensure food is purchased in good time and within budget.
  • Provide a safe environment within the kitchen.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and tidy (cupboards kept clean, fridge/freezer defrosted regularly, oven cleaned regularly)
  • Ensure meals are served appropriately and ready on time.
  • Involve yourself as a leading team member of food hygiene team, to ensure that all aspects of food hygiene law adhered to.
  • To be committed to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery.
Minimum requirement:
  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • Previous cooking experience
  • A clear and valid DBS
