About PneumoWave:

Based in central Scotland within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, PneumoWave is a Digital Health company developing highly innovative real-time monitoring platform solutions for patients with respiratory illness. Combining proprietary sensor technology and innovative AI driven digital therapeutic software, PneumoWave’s technology is designed to detect and alert to life-threatening events, reducing preventable deaths from respiratory illness.



Following significant investment, we are seeking a Data Scientist with algorithm development knowledge to assist with the upkeep and development of PneumoWave’s algorithms.

Responsibilities include:

Execute, analyse and interpret the output of new and existing algorithms against captured clinical and experimental data.

  • Work with physicians and physiologists to interpret respiratory data.

  • Identify trends in data and build a warehouse of respiratory data.

  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to the wider product design team.


  • Communicate design and performance metrics.

  • Qualifications & Experience

    Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject like Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.

  • You have experience working collaboratively with engineers and product owners to understand customer needs and technical capabilities and discover exceptional solutions.

  • You have experience working in Python, SQL. C++ is desirable though not essential.

  • Skills:

    Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Ability to work with multiple priorities.

  • Creativity and problem solving

  • Good documentation practices
