educational and career growthMother friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility Our team is like a family with a newly renovated Mother/Baby, couplet care unit with 26-beds Average between 285-300 deliveries per month
Here’s What You Need
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma BSN is preferred RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required One-year (1) Year
Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required One year or more of Maternal/Newborn, Mother/Baby, Couplet Care RN
experience preferred BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
What You Will Do
Delivers Care To Patients Utilizing The Nursing Process
Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
