Position
Summary
The Sales Coordinator’s primary role is to provide order management, backlog management and/or logistics support for Customers and Sales associates in assigned capital equipment value stream in support of the Healthcare business. The individual is responsible for managing orders from quote to delivery through install with direct interaction with Planning, Sales, Manufacturing, Traffic and Service to ensure fulfillment of Customer
requirements. The Sales Coordinator will support on-going business operation of Sales associates, ensure requests are met and quality targets are reached and sustained.
This is a hybrid role working out of our headquarters in Mentor, Ohio with Wednesday and Thursday in the office.
Duties
STERIS liaison for capital equipment business requiring a high level of attention, initiative and follow upResponsible for order and backlog management, including resolving hold issues, and/or logistics coordination through installEnsure all actions are completed in accordance with department policies and proceduresFacilitate the order process for new Customers by completing and submitting credit applications and requests for account setupReview and validate information on purchase orders utilizing the contract review processAccurately and efficiently record pertinent information into Oracle order management systemReview and prepare special billing documentationManage Customer capital and consumables order backlog with daily review and management of scheduled ship dates, investigation and resolution of credit process holds as well as order changes to ensure Customer expectations are met; required to run reports related to the overall management of ordersManage order entry, holds resolution, or logistics coordination in a timely manner to meet Customer
requirementsVerify order details are correctly set up and coordinated for product shipment from various plant and vendor
locations to designated delivery pointObtain and document all delivery
requirements per the Customer’s specificationsCollaborate with Sales, Planning, Credit, Customer Service Management, Logistics and the Customer to resolve outstanding order management issuesProcess and/or revise quotations to ensure GPO contract

Assist Sales with processing and forwarding any necessary paperwork including credit applications, quotes, SBW, etc.Provide data to Sales, including, but not limited to, pricing, order status, holds issues, backorders, freight quotes, order consolidation, and delivery informationWork with Planning to ensure availability and timely delivery on capital equipment ordersWork with Traffic to expedite emergency shipments, coordinate deliveries and acquire freight estimatesEnsure orders are consistent with STERIS Terms and Conditions and work with Sales to resolve exceptionsDevelop and maintain business relationship with Customers and Sales while providing excellent Customer ServiceInvestigate product complaints and work with RMA team to ensure timely action and resolutionUtilize available resources to update and increase knowledge on products, systems, procedures and corporate initiativesSupport the continuous improvement initiatives within the function, including standard work and the root-cause-countermeasure process in support of key performance indicators (KPIs) Work within the department’s Lean tracking tools and provide data as needed for monthly documentation of performance against agreed-upon KPIsParticipate in Kaizen events when appropriate and supports the action plans that result from those events Other

Required
Experience
Bachelor degree in Business or Business discipline preferred1 to 2 years business
experience with direct contact with Customers, Vendors and Sales1 to 2 years project management
