Company Introduction



We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our leading telecommunication clients! They are currently looking for an experienced Strategic Programme Delivery Manager to join their team for a twelve-month contract.



Job Responsibilities/Objectives



Establishing and proactively refining delivery and project management best practices and ways of working into teams beyond the discipline to develop maturity around planning, timelines and execution of work.

Ensuring delivery is transparent, predictable and sustainable, whilst providing value our customers.

Embedding and refining a clear way of working across multiple teams

Accountable for the success of the programme, address tactical delivery issues as they occur and maintain commitments but maintain focus on the strategic direction.

Take accountability for managing execution risk, ensuring risks are understood and prioritised and that serious risks do not unexpectedly derail progress.

Ensure the strategic goals for the strategic programme portfolio is understood

Select the appropriate tools for the job to manage progress against KPIs and project status. Translates technical releases into business capabilities that can be understood by the wider community.

Communicate clearly between internal and external teams and manage any potential issues accordingly

Confidently manage stakeholder expectations, as well as negotiate with 3rd party

Suppliers and all associated communication

Own the cadence of programme communication, team "all hands" sessions and regular progress updates for key projects within the platforms portfolio and ensure programme activity is aligned to the rhythm of the technology pillar.



X Functional Delivery



Identifying and managing dependencies across teams and disciplines, ensuring that stakeholders understand critical paths through projects and delivery management

Take a collaborative approach and foster strong working relationships within Sales, XSUS, Technology, Data & CTIO in addition to legal, marketing and operations

Ensure X Functional delivery is resourced accordingly and that work types are set up for success from the outset.

Identify collaboration and X Functional opportunities

Planning, Initiation and Execution of Work and forecasting process, may be accountable for one or many cost centres

Make clear business cases & benefits realisation for projects in order for prioritisation and investment decisions to be made, including resource planning (human and technical)

Establish a clear programme initiation framework in line with broader business goals which creates visibility around value and quality of outputs.

Establish prioritisation framework for strategic programme deliverables in line with broader business goals.

Working closely with the Change Leadership team and beyond, you will be accountable for planning cycles across the department to ensure there is the right balance of enablers and value drivers to achieve our goals.



Required Skills/Experience



Confident at presenting concepts and ideas to a wide range of contributors and Board-level stakeholders

Strong commercial acumen and ability to structure program delivery within a framework that clearly augments the financial and operational goals of the team

Experience in managing business change to land new ways of working and systems

Experience working alongside senior stakeholders (including board level)

Ability to influence senior decision-makers across the business to adopt a functional strategy

Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate well whilst doing so

Good planning across teams you directly and indirectly influence

Mentoring / coaching others whilst leading teams via influence and persuasion

Proven experience in working for a fast-paced product-led tech business

Used to working across all levels of the business; from board level to associate colleagues

Confident in the use of programme management tools and techniques that are appropriate for the situation, partnered with dynamism and flexibility in order to achieve the right outcomes

A strong team contributor, ensuring everyone is working on the right things in the right ways

Proven delivery of software releases, supplier integrations and complex projects

Proven ability to manage multiple third-party supplier relationships

Experience in coaching teams in ways of working
