Assistant Marketing Manager



The Assistant Marketing Manager works across the full marketing suite in order to raise the profile of Shangri-La The Shard, London. The Assistant Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving guest loyalty across the hotel through helping create and execute a clear marketing strategy. The candidate is responsible for being commercially-minded and driving room bookings and covers in the hotel’s restaurants and bars through online and offline marketing activity, partnerships and social media.

Work with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications in developing and executing holistic marketing strategies and action items for the luxury lifestyle property and for its multiple food and beverage outlets

Assists the ADOMC in developing & effectively communicating annual marketing plans and activities for hotel & outlets with key stake holders on a regularly scheduled basis

Management of Marketing Coordinator on daily tasks such as design, collateral, signage, and menu and website platform updates

Specifically spearhead a content strategy for the property's websites and develop a digital campaign strategy

Work with the regional Digital Marketing team to create a content strategy for the property's websites & a campaign strategy for demand generation activities

Develop an annual plan for social media platforms

Manage the activation, engagement & acquisition strategies for Shangri-La’s loyalty program Shangri-La Circle on property to meet enrolment and other loyalty marketing goals assigned to the hotel

Create and execute the social media strategy for the hotel and oversee the planning and execution of the social media calendar

Assist with establishing corporate partnerships and luxury retail marketing partnerships to help drive revenue for the hotel.

Oversee the production of all hotel & F&B content created by the Creative Communications and Marketing Manager (copy, photography, video and sales and hotel collateral) with input from the regional digital team and ensure compliance to brand standards and guidelines.



Skills required:

Fluent in English - both oral and written

Clear and confident communicator

Minimum of three to five years’ marketing experience with a luxury brand or hospitality within the London market

Degree in marketing a bonus

Possesses extensive knowledge of digital and direct marketing

Advanced analytical and interpersonal skills

Experience in working with multiple CMS systems

Advanced computer skills including Excel and word

Ability to convert vision into specific and tangible actions to benefit the hotel
