Romac Industries, an innovator of pipe products for the waterworks industry, is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager, who has a burning passion for driving sales, has an aptitude for learning technical products and is known to be a motivating coach and servant leader. This skilled and effective individual can masterfully align people, process, and product within the department and contribute towards organization’s strategic goals and initiatives. skills, can effectively collaborate with all levels within the organization as well as build strong relationships with our amazing customers.

To be successful in this role, you must have proven leadership

experience and ability to build and develop a strong sales team. The ideal candidate is accustomed to significant weekly travel and is strategically located to serve our customers in the western regions of the U.S to include WA/MT/WY/ID/OR/NV/CA/AK &HI. You are known to be strategic, creative, and preferably have some

experience in distribution or manufacturing, though not required.Must also possess strong time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving

Direct all the outside sales and marketing functions for the waterworks division of Romac. Ensure that products and services are marketed and sold in accordance with the objectives and goals of the organization. Continually evaluate the timely adjustment of the sales and marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions, including staffing levels of outside sales executives and the marketing department, pricing, and products. Work closely with the Inside Sales Department while making all sales-related decisions.

A.

Essential Functions1. Lead the Outside Sales team of 15-20, with 3-4 direct reports, including effective communication, hiring, training, active coaching, and performance management. Foster a culture of accountability, sales growth, and integrity.2. Manage all types of people, building relationships with existing and new customers, including engineers, municipalities, and distributors.3. Attend all National industry related events and conventions.4. Analyze sales information and oversee development of sales projections, as required for each area of the market.5. Develop corporate sales budgets and projections.6. Interact with Inside Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Engineering regarding customers, sales orders, products, and returns.7. Leverage a good understanding of Salesforce Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint to perform work-related

responsibilities.8. Travel extensively (more than 110 nights annually) throughout North America to meet with Romac Outside Sales employees, distributors, municipalities, potential customers, and others.9. Perform a variety of other functions required by the role, including:Oversee all sales functions and decisions of waterworks productsHire and manage Outside Sales teamReview and approve all sales-related expense reportsSet sales annual budgetsDetermine annual sales forecastsEvaluate market pricing and determine product selling prices. Determine plan and implement price increases. Negotiate payment terms and rebates for customer accounts.Approve new customer accounts. Approve customer discount changes.Set guidelines for issuing, renewing, and pricing of quotes. Review quotation margins. Set guidelines for approving RMAs. Set guidelines and policy for resolution of back charges.Negotiate back charges when needed.Assist in approving marketing literature and customer facing documentationApprove and assist in development of new products. Approve product changes.Build and maintain relationships with customersManage international customers and marketsEvaluate new product and market opportunities10. Meet all company

work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job, as described in Section E: Working Conditions.

Minimum

Qualifications1. Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of

education, training, and

experience2. 10+ years of

experience in sales3. 10+ years of

experience in management4. Knowledge of water works industry, people, and products5. Needs to be highly motivated, courteous, and articulate, with strong sales and organizational

skills6. Strong written and oral communication

skills7. Must have a professional appearance8. Needs to be proficient in the use of Oracle and Microsoft Office9. Needs to be able to work independently and work towards setting and meeting goals as required

Qualifications1. Previous

experience with other waterworks companies (distributors, municipalities, contractors, etc.)2. Ability to perform majority of all roles within the Sales team

E. Working Conditions1. Extensive travel involved: 50% of the time, including some weekends and holidays
