We are currently recruiting Phlebotomist Clinic Assistant to for our clinics.

Job Description

This full time position is available for immediate start.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following Essential Criteria:

· Qualified phlebotomist.

· General phlebotomy duties, venepuncture of patients.

As a Phlebotomist Clinic Assistant ou will take blood samples from customers who require serology tests in order to travel or for health screening. Patients may be nervous about having their blood taken, so you have to reassure them and put them at ease.

Support patients in identifying suitable blood tests based on their needs.

Assist in a Clinic Assistant and front of house capacity with managing patient bookings and assisting clinical team.

Support with MRI and patient scans.

Responsibilities include: -

Identify patients and their personal information using their ID, documents or other means.

Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health etc.

Reassure patients and help them relax.

Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples.

Label samples correctly and send or deliver them for testing.

Answer patient questions and provide useful information.

Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and tests.

Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician

Understanding of proper patient identification methods

Knowledge of legal requirements about drawing blood, handling fluid samples and use of relevant medical equipment and material.

Ability to use computers to enter information.

Excellent communication skills

Attention to detail.

Patience and presence of mind

Diploma in Phlebotomy or extensive on-the job training

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£21,500.00 per year
