ABG Rubber and Plastics is situated in Northampton just off the A45 on the Brackmills Industrial Estate. We are part of the Oadby Plastics Group, which have branches and additional sister companies dotted all over the UK to provide our customers with the best service possible.

About the role as a CNC Turner:

• 
  To program, set and operate a variety of CNC Lathes daily
• 
  Produce finished parts from customer drawings
• 
  To meet cell output levels and make sure they are always optimised
• 
  Monitor quality and ensure completed goods are suitable for dispatch
• 
  Complete periodic inspections on larger batch orders

What experience do you need to have:

• 
  Must have experience of on-line and off-line programming
• 
  Experience of programming Multi-Axis/Twin Spindle machines would be highly advantageous, however not essential
• 
  Experience of programming Sliding Head machines would be highly advantageous, however not essential
• 
  Must have good attention to detail and strive for 100% accuracy
• 
  Ideally served a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical or Production Engineering would be desirable but not essential
