The Sr. Quality Engineer will sit on the quality team out of the location near Lisle, IL. This role will work closely with the Quality Manager to drive continuous improvement in product and processes, leveraging strong skills in both quality and mechanical engineering.Client DetailsOur client is a manufacturer of electronic components serving both the aerospace and medical device industry. With their developed team, they are looking for a senior level engineer to lead both internal and external projects.DescriptionHandling day-to-day design, supplier, production, and customer quality issues related to production linesResolving non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutionsAssist with internal audits to help the company maintain ISO 13485 complianceLead internal IQ/OQ/PQ processAssisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methodsLeveraging data findings to implement improvements in the processPreparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standardsReviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnelGenerating standards for suppliers and internal processesProfile5+ years of quality engineering experienceBachelors degree in engineering or closely related fieldUnderstanding of Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniquesExperience with the IQ/OQ/PQ process heavily preferredStrong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologiesExperience in Medical Device, Aerospace, or Automotive industriesJob OfferBase salary up to $115,000 depending on experience and interview performance6-7% annual bonusFull health benefits3 weeks of PTO11 Holidays401k match
Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years of quality engineering experience
Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
Understanding of Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniques
Experience with the IQ/OQ/PQ process heavily preferred
Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
Experience in Medical Device, Aerospace, or Automotive industries
