About The Role
Magrathea is seeking an innovative, creative, and people focused Research and Piloting Senior Manager to support the CTO in managing Magrathea's R&D and pilot program. Magrathea’s Technology Manager will have a massive impact on the direction of our process development, intellectual property, R&D team management, and ability to achieve our goal of making metal without mining a reality. Below are some of the key expectations we have for the role.
Role Expectations
Manage the execution of research and technology projects to improve Magrathea’s technology. Guide the team responsible for innovation and R&D of our production pilot line and lab facilities, providing guidance and managerial support directly to the CTO. Manage the infrastructure and operations for the pilot plant. Work closely with the Director of Engineering to prepare for the scale up Magrathea’s technology and produce data necessary for the first commercial-scale demonstration plant. Implement project management for R&D, ensuring that insights, outcomes, and data are ready for relevant deadlines.
Ideal Background
MS or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or adjacent field
Experience With Inorganic Chemistry And Pilot Plant Operations
Experience managing research and/or pilot team including project management of technical projects
Experience with analytical techniques such as ICP-OES, Infrared spectroscopy, mass spec, titrations, TGACreative and open-minded with the ability to rapidly learn Demonstrated track record of working on a team to achieve audacious goals together History of promoting company culture based on humility, transparency, respect, and care for the success of other team members
Compensation
Salary range: $130-$160k annually (commensurate with
