As the Accounting Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing efficient accounting processes and procedures.

Location: Philadelphia, PA (flexible/hybrid schedule)

Salary: $100,000 yearly

Key

Responsibilities:Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including monitoring cash flow, aging reports, and credit policies.Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial data and provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Ensure compliance with all regulatory

requirements and tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns.Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department.Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting

experience.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical

skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.Effective communication and interpersonal

skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
