Position
Summary
With general guidance from the Quality Assurance Manager, employee uses basic knowledge of production process and mathematical capacities to help the quality department (and facility) meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Quality Intern
Responsibilities
Conducts process / product inspections as directed by the Quality Manager.Inspects product visually and using inspection equipment to verify conformance to customer
requirementsConducting inspections of purchased incoming material using inspection equipmentInterpret and record dataAssists with maintaining and updating gagesAssists with maintaining gage calibrationCollecting and organizing measurement data and other documentation to support customer PPAP
requirementsAssists with inception and maintenance of controlled documents for all Oconee processesAssists with root cause analysis of non-conforming productAnalyze internal failures to determine cause and suggest improvements that will prevent recurrenceAssist with analyzing customer returns to determine cause and suggest improvements that will prevent recurrenceDocument and communicate resultsAssists with collecting data for machine capability studiesOther special
duties and
responsibilities as assigned
Quality Intern
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a 4-year degree Engineering or equivalent degree. Equivalent
education equals 2 years of closely related Manufacturing and Quality
experience for 1 year of
education.Demonstrate an ability in problem solving
skills, including being able to identify, investigate and countermeasure manufacturing or supplier related technical and / or systemic issues.Possess the ability to be self-directed.Able to build effective teams and the ability to work with suppliers, plant manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure the deliverables are met.
Experience with manufacturing processes for components.
Experience With Automotive Components And Functional
requirements
