Role Overview & Specifications

We are seeking to recruit a trainee patent secretary to work closely with our patent attorneys and other support staff. Duties include audio typing, preparing correspondence, preparing forms for patent and trade mark applications, liaising with clients, invoice generation, electronic filing, sharing telephone reception duties, and meeting and greeting clients. All this work must be carried out with considerable care and attention.

Based in our Edinburgh office full time. This role will suit someone who is looking to progress within a role and who is willing to learn and develop new skills.

The successful candidate will be reliable, highly-organised, self-motivated and good at working in a team, with excellent attention to detail. Good computer skills and the ability to draft clear letters and emails are essential. Structured training will be provided.

Essential requirements:

Based in our Edinburgh office full time.

Attention to detail.

Excellent written communication skills.

Strong Microsoft Office and IT skills.

Can take instruction well.

Minimum 6 months admin/office experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
