Senior Civil Engineer

Located in Sidney, Ohio

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to its tight knit, interdisciplinary team in Sidney, Ohio. The company is a premier Design-Build contractor that has constructed a wide variety of large and small commercial, industrial,

educational and healthcare projects throughout Ohio and Indiana for more than 100 years.

The Senior Civil Engineer will join a tight-knit team and report directly to the Managing Architect, with the unique opportunity to work alongside the President of the company, who is also a Civil Engineer. You will play a key role in all phases of civil design for various projects, from zoning review to construction documents.

ResponsibilitiesLead civil design efforts, collaborating with designers on site layout, grading, storm and sanitary systems, and reviewing drawings.Design and assist in drafting asphalt and concrete paving and slabs.Secure local zoning and EPA permits, manage variances, and attend zoning meetings.Oversee internal survey crews and coordinate their activities.Review and certify civil drawings for official submission.Collaborate with a diverse team including customers, officials, consultants, subcontractors, and internal staff across departments.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a year.Minimum 3 years of civil design or engineering

experience.Proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, with Revit

experience a plus.Excellent problem-solving

skills with understanding of construction and surveying.Strong communication and organizational

skills.Deadline-oriented with a focus on customer needs.

Experience in concrete and structural steel design a plus.
