Job Title: Cable Technician Data Center Technician I

Location: Onsite, Chicago IL, USA

Pay Rate: $30.45/hr.

Duration: 6 Months with potential for extension and conversion

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST

Our client is looking for Data Center Technician in Chicago area for 6-month contract position. In this role you will serve as a primary resolver within your support team, adept at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues.

Brake fix knowledge. Cabling Troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

Proficiency in cabling standards, cable running, cable management, and troubleshooting skills. 2-4 years’ experience in the data center field Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining documentation on supported technologies, as well as transferring knowledge to junior staff effectively. With basic to intermediate system administration skills, you may undertake remote system administration tasks as part of a virtual team and automate tasks using scripts when necessary. Operating autonomously, you handle most support issues independently and can manage small projects while collaborating with your manager on larger local projects. You serve as the initial escalation point for junior technicians, possessing comprehensive understanding of the equipment you support. Flexibility is key as you demonstrate the ability to innovate and make decisions independently while also following direction meticulously.
