Role Overview & Specifications

We are looking for an Assistant Data Cabling Engineer to join our projects team. The ideal candidate will undertake projects to industry standards in a professional manner and within agreed timescales. You will be proactive, presentable; with the ability to liaise with customers and colleagues in a courteous and helpful manner. All training will be provided, and you will be expected to learn on customer facilities whilst being supervised by the Team Lead. Although our office is based in Cranleigh, Surrey you will be predominantly working around London.

The Role and Responsibility:
  • Interacting with customers in a respectful, courteous and positive manner
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to customer service
  • Proactively develop knowledge and skill specific to enablesIT customer environments
  • The installation of cat6, cat6a, voice and fibre cabling, testing and labelling adhering to industry standards
  • Completing all relevant Health and Safety paperwork, such as risk assessments and ensuring Health and Safety regulations are always adhered to
  • Ensuring tools and PPE are used and maintained
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed and handed into the customer service team
  • Submission of completion and handover documentation

Qualifications

Note - for this post satisfactory criminal records clearance at an enhanced level must be obtained.

Minimum

  • Clean driving licence
  • 5 GCSEs A-C, including Maths and English
  • Health and Safety awareness
  • Customer Service experience

Ideal

  • A Levels or equivalent
  • Cat6/6a installation experience
