This position is required to work in office, downtown Des Moines**
Processes written correspondence in response to policy service requests and general policy administration. Performs accounting functions involving the policy. Answers and resolves policy administration inquiries from agents and policyholders, escalating complex requests.
Essential Functions
Reviews, processes and provides written correspondence to service requests for existing term, whole life, universal life, and annuity policies on LifePRO policy administration and automated workflow systemsUpdates all policyholder changes such as name and address changes, bank, coverage and beneficiary changesProcesses policy conservation, 1035 exchange processing, non-forfeiture option processing, universal life and annuity calculations, in-force policy illustrations, and other policy maintenanceProcesses supplementary contracts, exchanges, conversions, and reinstatements for term life, whole life, universal life, and annuity policiesEscalates complex questions or requests as neededReviews, processes and sends daily correspondence generated from policy administration system. Processes follow-up notifications, Event Notification System (ENS) message processing, annuity conservation, grace period notices, reduced paid-up, extended term, and premium compliance for all annuity and life productsCompletes accounting transactions on existing policies including premium payments, reversals, transfers, refunds, loans, withdrawals, cash surrenders, periodic interest withdrawals, credit card payments, and dishonored checksAnswers and resolves policy administration inquiries from agents and policyholdersReviews procedures, trainings, and consults with senior team members and leaders to learn and continue to build knowledge of company products, systems and marketing materials
Education &
Experience
High school diploma or equivalencyAssociates degree, with business or marketing customer service-related courses preferredTwo years policy administration
experience in life annuity or financial services or related
experienceLOMA coursework and Associate Customer Service designation preferred
Knowledge,

Good understanding of life insurance industry products and proceduresGood knowledge of state insurance and IRS regulationsAccurate data entry and ten-key by touch
