Principal Container Platform Architect

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint

locations listed here: Atlanta, GA; Norfolk, VA; Mason, OH; Richmond, VA or Chicago, IL. The Principal Container Platform Architect works with business and technology stakeholders to build a holistic view of the organizations strategy, processes, information and technical assets to ensure business and IT alignment. This is a critical role responsible for designing and architecting Kubernetes platforms on EKS, GKE, AKS, and OpenShift in an enterprise environment. This individual will apply security best practices and drive operational efficiencies. They are expected to have a deep understanding of Kubernetes and surrounding technologies for seamless integration into enterprise-scale environments. How you will make an Impact:Design and architect Kubernetes platforms utilizing EKS, GKE, AKS, and OpenShift in accordance with the company's needs.Implement effective security protocols and best practices to safeguard the container platforms.Drive operational efficiencies by optimizing processes and utilizing advanced automation techniques.Establishes overall systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise ArchitectureMaintains enterprise level blueprints.Lead and participate in decision-making processes related to the selection, deployment, and management of container technologies and cloud platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the container platforms, as well as provide guidance and support to other team members.Drive the adoption of container technologies within the organization, detailing their

benefits and potential applications.Coordinates all enterprise-level conceptual architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architectureMonitors usage of architectural components and assumes responsibility for reuse.Leads architecture strategy and vision for enterprise.Ensures blueprints are refreshed as needs emerge or in accordance to plan of record changes.Champions and responsible for enterprise level technology and architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference modelsDefines systems, technical, and application architectures for new strategic initiatives; develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for these architectures in support of business and technical strategies; explains how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness. Minimum

Requirements:Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years

experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of

education and

experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Highly Preferred
