This role is responsible for mixing chemical batches by following standard formulas, applicable instructions and current standard operating procedures.

What You Will Do
Review daily mix schedules and ensures the raw materials required are availableFollow mix instructions and accurately adds raw materials to the mixes manually, using pumps or mixing systemsMix batches using variable agitationPerform routine observation of product during the mixing and filling process to ensure batch quality. Report any out-of-spec raw material, premixes or mixed batches and consults with Quality personnel on any batch adjustments.Properly cleans out all mix tanksOperate fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps and other material handling equipment to transport raw material and finished productPerform building and equipment preventative maintenancePerform other
duties as assigned
Position Details
Plant
location: Garland, TXWork week and shift:2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm-10:00 pm 3rd Shift, Monday - Friday, 9:30 PM -5:30 AM
Compensation package offered: $24.10 / hr to start increasing to $25.10 after 120 days plus $0.35 shift differential 2nd shift and $0.55 shift differential for 3rd shift.
Minimum
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent1 year of mixing
experience -chemical mixing a plus1 year of
experience working with systems, pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and tracking mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.)1 year of
experience performing basic Quality Control tests (take samples, perform pH tests1 year of stand- up forklift
experienceMust be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documentsMust be able to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials and finished goodsNo Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbsMust be able to participate in respirator fitness, if requiredMust be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Preferred
Qualifications
Previous
experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment
Experience with Raymond stand-up forklift preferredBasic knowledge of chemistryAbility to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational
skills and ability to multitask Excellent communication
skills and the ability to work as part of a team
