Job Description
The Risk Management Internal Audit team is seeking energetic, committed and
experienced professionals that are looking to grow their career within audit. This team assesses the risk management framework as designed by second line of defense Corporate Risk Management for consistency with regulatory expectations to provide the Board with assurance of Discover’s operations and control effectiveness. Audit testing is performed in a dynamic environment across a variety of regulatory topics and assesses risk management frameworks, controls, governance, execution and oversight.
This Position Is Ideal For Professionals With Bank Auditor
experience, regulatory examiner
experience or banking industry
experience within risk management.

Operational Risk Management including, but not limited to,Vendor Risk ManagementChange Risk ManagementProcess, Risk and Control OversightEnterprise Risk Management including, but not limited to,Risk Appetite and MetricsCommittee GovernancePolicy and Procedure OversightTechnology Risk ManagementCredit Risk Management
Responsibilities
Autonomously execute testingCritically assess a risk and control environment to identify control gapsHelp design or tailor work programsAudit major components of Corporate Risk Management frameworksWork with leaders within Corporate Risk Management and the business to develop a strong understanding of departments, functions and processes to be auditedLeverage available data and analytical tools during planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit engagements
Minimum
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Analytics, or related fieldRelevant
Experience: 2+ years
Preferred
Qualifications
Strong Written And Verbal Communication
skillsAudit
experience within Banking, Accounting / Consulting, Regulatory Agencies, or Financial InstitutionsObtain or willing to pursue Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)Additional Certifications:CRCM, CPA, CFE, CAMS, American Bankers Association professional certificatesSix Sigma, STEM, or Business, Risk, Compliance, or Audit related certifications

Compensation
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total
compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical
location, relevant
experience,
education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
