The Role
SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Shop Technician I. The Shop technician primarily works in the shop making repairs to equipment as required. The Shop Technician I is a skilled,
experienced technician with the ability to perform most tasks independently, while seeking guidance or training for more critical tasks.
Pay Starts at $18.40/Hour. Pay can be adjusted with
experience.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability and solid work ethic Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment Read and interpret blueprints and drawings Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of shop, work area and equipment Perform shipping and receiving
responsibilities Responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts as soon as practicable to supervisor or senior technician. Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change Troubleshoot, repair, reassembly and testing based on customer communications Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products up to 50 lbs. Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting Available on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs on special occurrences Perform occasional required work in the field Performs other
duties as assigned
Basic
Qualifications
High School Diploma Or General
Education Degree (GED), or equivalent related
experience or training Basic Understanding of Safety
Requirements Preferred Shop Background, or any technical background
Physical Demands
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Must be able to wear protective footwear and other PPE as required by the department
Work Environment
Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration Noise level: Moderate
