Job

Summary: Assists the dentist in the operation of the dental clinic.

Duties/

Responsibilities:Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.Adheres to all Policy Required Handbook and Career Systems Development policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.Assists dentist in providing services and promotes oral health and wellness

education.Prepares dental instruments.Develops and mounts X-rays.Performs Dental Readiness Exams.Makes dental appointments.Maintains oral health supplies and equipment.Prepares written reports as necessary.Maintain student confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Minimum: Certified Dental Assistant Certification if state requirement. X-ray certification. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of one-year dental training.

Preferred: Minimum and six months' work-related

experience.

Knowledge: Sound dental assistant techniques. Excellent record-keeping

skills and computer literacy. Good organizational

skills. Ability to effectively relate to students. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
