Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to an assigned Director and above and related department personnel.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.Tracks and collects data from various internal sources and prepares reports.Maintains work calendars and schedules outside and department meetings.Records and/or transcribes minutes of meetings.Provides phone coverage for department; screens phone calls and relays messages in a timely fashion, and responds to callers as appropriate.Types memorandums, correspondence, policies and procedures, forms, and other monthly and quarterly reports for managerial staff; may type highly sensitive materials requiring a high degree of confidentiality.Sorts and routes incoming department mail; delivers out-going department mail.Performs special projects as assigned.Inventories, orders and coordinates office supply purchase and delivery with appropriate departmental and supply personnel.Communicates and cooperates with all levels of personnel, medical staff, auxiliary and ancillary departments.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency required. Completion of two-year business school training program with focus on personal computers and general business machines preferred. Minimum of two (2) years
experience in an administrative support role required. Prior
experience in a comparable position in a hospital setting preferred.
