Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting key aspects of fiscal management and financial analysis for imaging center business at Radiology Regional (RRC) and Radiology Associates of Hartford (RAH). The Senior Accountant is part of a team responsible for ensuring books and records are appropriately maintained and in compliance with GAAP and other key regulatory bodies. This position also provides analysis and reporting of data from transactional systems (NetSuite, Imagine, EPIC, Merge RIS, Paylocity, etc.) that are utilized day to day. This person is also responsible for monthly close reporting for RRC and RAH both at a department and operating unit level. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for tracking capital expenditures, variance to budget/forecast(s) and other financial analysis as needed.

Essential

Duties:• Performs those

duties directly involving the accounts payable function of a radiology practice.• Purchase all medical, office, maintenance supplies and repair parts; reconciles packing slips to purchase order.• Maintains financial integrity of the organization through appropriate internal controls.• Assist service engineers with locating parts for medical equipment and placing orders with vendors.• Act as a company liaison and provide internal and external customer service.• Processes invoices for several different entities within the organization.• Compares invoice quantities and prices to purchase order and packing slip. Ability to identify and resolve any discrepancies.• Generates payment of invoices, obtains signatures on checks (may involve driving to

locations), works with vendors to be paid via ACH.

Knowledge And Skill

REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting• Relevant accounting

experience• CPA and/or master’s degree in accounting• Strong technical understanding of GAAP and healthcare revenue cycle accounting (public accounting

experience preferred)• NetSuite G/L

experience preferred• A solid understanding of system and business processes, as well as healthcare financial issues• Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) – both financial and operational• Excellent communications

skills – including written, oral, presentation and listening
