SUMMARY: Leasing consultant must have knowledge of the local rental market and have the ability to lease apartments and maintain a successful renewal program. Demonstrate knowledge and consistency in maintaining high standards of customer relations and services. Contribute to all marketing and leasing related activity through daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Duties And
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform property presentations in person and on the phone. Responsible for following up on prospective residents.Supervise other leasing members, monitor ads and develop marketing plan as needed.Verify rental applications, approve for occupancy, and enter all paperwork into computer. Submit applications for approval by site manager.Walk vacant units prior to move-in.Submit weekly and monthly traffic and marketing reports.Contact local companies during winter months to market our company and specific properties.Obtain coupons from local merchants for our move-in packages.When showing property, check for problem areas such as trash, pets, satellite dishes, repairs, junk cars, etc.Complete move-in, move-out forms and renewal assignments. Don’t forget to complete a new form for any changes to a lease. Complete all areas, especially phone numbers.
Follow up for file: if you have sent a letter follow up and place folder back in current file, send official notice certified.Comply with all published policies and procedures.Develop and post ads on-lineOther

Education And
SKILLS REQUIRED:High school diploma.Two-to-four-year college degree preferred.Must have a valid KY driver’s license.Dependable vehicle necessary for driving to scattered sites.Must have excellent customer service
skills.Must have excellent oral and written communication
skills.Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Must be able to make decisions (e.g. prioritizing) without direction or supervision.Must be detailed and organized.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THIS POSITION:Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using a keyboard and manual writing.Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk and climb stairs.PROPER ATTIRE:Business or business casual.WORK HOURS:Varies: 8 AM or 9 AM to 5 PM or 6 PM, Monday through FridayWill work 1 to 3 Saturdays a month as requested40 hrs per week
