About the hospital;

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pre Assessment Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable and dynamic private hospital based in Washington, Tyne and Wear. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Pre Assessment Nurse / Practitioner to join their friendly Endoscopy department on a permanent basis. The hospital is a 35 in-patient bedded hospital offering a range of services and facilities including 4 operating theatres including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and a Diagnostic Suite. The team are passionate about the high quality care they provide and looking for a like minded Pre Assessment Nurse / Practitioner to join the team.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working in the Pre Operative department as an Pre Assessment Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for the following duties;

  • Providing excellent patient care at all times
  • Run you own clinics, be part of a supportinve team
  • Pre-assessments, admitting patients into the pre assessment department and observing
  • Assisting consultants and pre assessing patients from the unit
  • Participating in all general pre operative procedures, eg abnormal pathology , giving medication,

Who we're looking for

  • Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Minimum of 1 years pre assessment experience in the UK
  • Have surgical or outpatient , day surgery, pre assessment experience
  • Be organised and have excellent patient skills

Person Specification:All applicants must have a valid NMC registration with no restrictions and full eligibility to live and work in the UK. At least 2 years experience in the UK is essential for this position.
