You'll lead a team of dedicated payroll processors, ensuring our payroll blossoms with adherence to government regulations, labor contracts, and company policies.🍃 Scope: Like a gardener tending to a lush garden, you'll receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to cultivate resources to meet schedules and goals. You'll nurture schedules, performance requirements, and may have budgetary responsibilities.💐 Discretion: Like a skilled horticulturist, your decisions and ability to achieve results will have a direct impact on costs and the organization's short-term goals.🌺 Interaction: You'll frequently interact with supervisors, customers, and functional peer group managers, often leading cooperative efforts among project teams – much like a master gardener coordinating the various elements of a thriving garden.🌳 Supervision: As the Payroll Supervisor, you'll manage and coordinate the activities of your section or department, ensuring responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing – akin to a head gardener overseeing a lush, well-tended landscape.Here's what you'll be nurturing in this role:💫 Manage workflow and review weekly payroll, ensuring accurate payments, deductions, and taxes within tight deadlines. 💫 Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Leadership, and Field Operations as required, fostering a collaborative environment. 💫 Ensure compliance related to FLSA, State, Local, and employment practices for our multi-state company. 💫 Understand the full payroll cycle from timecards to GL, and the implications of changes to benefit plans, deductions, and garnishments for employees and the company. 💫 Comprehend and adhere to multiple union contract terms and conditions. 💫 Provide leadership and training to the payroll team, ensuring performance goals are met at employee and company levels.🌻 About You: As a seasoned finance professional, you're comfortable leading a team and cultivating work performance to ensure timelines are met. You bring a commitment to continuous improvement and best practices to improve efficiency, along with more than 5 years of processing multi-state, union payroll for over 3,000 employees. Your technical skillset includes the Microsoft Office suite (including pivot tables and v-loops), and JD Edwards experience is preferred.
