Job Description

We Are Looking For An

experienced Hotel Manager to join our Fairmont Kea Lani 'ohana.

In your role, you will be responsible for being a strategic business leader of the property's Hotel Operations. Areas of responsibility include Rooms Division, Food and Beverage/Culinary, Security and Spa. This position works with direct reports (department heads) and General Manager/Regional Vice President to develop and implement departmental strategies along with hotel’s luxury standards and initiatives. In this position you will use your passion to provide leadership and strategic planning to focus on employee engagement, guest and brand satisfaction while growing hotel revenues and maximizing departmental financial performance. The Hotel Manager is integral in developing and implementing hotel-wide strategies that meet or exceeds the needs and expectations of the colleagues and guests and provide a return on investment.

Salary Range: $191,000 - $230,000

What You Will Do

Overseeing the operations functions of the hotel, the Hotel Manager is responsible for leading operational departments and is responsible for the following:

Overseeing multiple Divisions of the resort, including Rooms, Food & Beverage/Culinary, Security and SpaActively participating in the strategic planning and ongoing development of the hotel, including revenue, forecasting, ensuring the delivery of our environmental commitments, overseeing the health, safety and security of our guests and colleaguesLead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets via effective organizational development, policy and procedural development, and appropriate colleague training activities, thus ensuring our shareholders receive their return on investmentClearly demonstrate to guests and colleagues a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of Fairmont Core Standards at all timesFoster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging colleagues to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guestsDirect operational needs to ensure compliance with the hotel’s Annual Budget and Strategic PlanAchieve and maintain accurate monthly financial forecasts for Rooms, Food & Beverage/Culinary, Security and Spa divisionWork with the Regional Vice President/General Manager and Regional Director of Finance & Business Support in the planning and implementation of capital projectsMonitor and act on staffing levels and productivity targetsResponsible for Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans and ensure all plans and hotel awareness is executed in a timely mannerFunction as a key member of the Hotel Executive Committee and Leadership TeamAssume the

responsibilities in the absence of the General ManagerFacilitate daily and weekly Operations meetingsActively participate and promote the Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui’s environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational trainingUniversity/College degree in a related discipline preferred, or a minimum of 10 years' hospitality

experience

Experience

Minimum of 5 years'

experience as a Division Head in a fast paced, high volume, complex, luxury environment/resort requiredProven record to coordinate multiple departments to make gains towards targeted GOP, guest feedback and employee engagement resultsProven success in leadership of Rooms, Food & Beverage and other departments
