Summary

The EMT's

primary

responsibilities include but are not limited to; responding to calls, and transporting patients

to medical facilities. In addition, they assist in providing care to the patients.

Responsibilities/qualities For An Emt

Demonstrate Exceptional Customer Service

skills with both internal field staff and external customers Maintain a calm and professional demeanor Administer basic life support to patients Communicate with medical personnel at treatment facilities Demonstrate familiarity with company service areas and medical facilities Possess exceptional knowledge of service area geography, roadways and traffic patterns Demonstrate compliance with all Company and customer policies and procedures as they pertain to

the coordination of patient care/transport

Must possess the ability to efficiently multi-task and work independently as well as within a team

Demonstrate the ability to professionally “control” difficult interactions and effectively direct the flow

of the conversation

Operate ambulances safely and abide by all laws Monitor all equipment and provide updates to dispatch The ability to remain extremely focused in a sometimes turbulent/chaotic environment Maintain a clean, professional appearance of vehicles, equipment, and person Assist with providing information for investigations of incidents as required Punctual attendance with scheduled hours and willingness to work OT when necessary Ability to maintain confidential information in a manner consistent with applicable laws including but

not limited to HIPPA

Requirements

High school graduate Valid AZ Driver’s License Satisfactory driving record in accordance with ABC Ambulance’s Driving Policy Current state EMT certification Current CPR pro certification card Knowledge of the Phoenix Valley Exceptional customer service

skills The ability to multitask Understand basic math Proficient with PC’s, mobile technology, and computer software and applications Polite and professional Ability to utilize time/resources well Reliability and Teamwork a must Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing Safety conscious Frequent ability to lift, carry, push, and pull greater than 100 pounds without assistance Intermittent climbing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling Moderate exposure to weather, extreme heat, wet and/or humid conditions, noise intensity level,

darkness/poor lighting, confined spaced, dirt/dust, odors, and other environmental conditions
